The Fulda Summer Youth Theatre camp spent an amazing week together, performing ‘A Crazy Day at Sunny Days’ (written by Heidi Appel) the week of June 8-12. Students focused on developing theater skills in a fun, supportive and collaborative environment. They had so much fun working together to explore and expand their “Actor Toolbox” – their body, voice, and imagination! On the last day of camp, the ‘actors’ had the opportunity to showcase their talent by performing for their family and
friends. Synopsis: At Sunny Days Assisted Living, there’s never a dull moment. In this fast-paced comedy for elementary performers, a group of lovable and mischievous residents turn an ordinary day into complete chaos. Between runaway residents, competitive BINGO games, surprise fire drills, hidden cookies, bathroom emergencies, and a nurse who can never seem to take a break, poor Nurse Betty and the nervous new Nurse Kelly have their hands full. As granddaughter Molly visits for the day, she quickly discovers that life at Sunny Days is anything but quiet. Filled with silly disguises, wild dance breaks, hilarious misunderstandings, and heartwarming friendships, A Crazy Day at Sunny Days is a fun and energetic comedy that celebrates laughter, kindness, and the joy of spending time together – no matter your age.
