Fulda School Board accepted the resignation of teacher Stacy Dibble, who has completed 37 years in the classroom. Her last day will be May 26, 2026.
Elementary paraprofessional, Erica Ruiz Olvera, tendered her resignation, as well.
Contracts were approved for Sherri Burkey, a Speech Language Pathologist for the 20262027 school year; Brian Gass as Assistant Track Coach for the 2025-2026 season; and Katie Pick, One Act Play Director for the 2026-2027 season. Michelle Swenhaugen and Randy Kremer were hired for summer lawn mowing.
A Service Contract with Interquest Detection Canines of Minnesota for September 2026 through June of 2027 was reviewed and approved.
Requests to hold fundraisers for eight students to attend the FCCLA National Leadership Conference were reviewed and approved. The FCCLA Chapter will serve a Memorial Day meal following the Memorial Day Program. They also plan to sell FCCLA Number Squares.

Fulda Area Lakes Association will hold their Annual Meeting at Fulda City Hall on April 22nd at 7:00 pm “A Year in Review” will be discussed. Everyone is welcome to attend. Anyone interested in a new membership is welcome, new officers will be elected, may renew your annual membership at this time also.
Another approved fundraiser is for the PBIS to host two days of SheBrews premade coffee sales. One day will be in April and the other in May.
The Special Education Teacher will be seeing students for the Extended School Year Services one time per week for 30 or 60 minutes starting on Wednesday, June 3rd through Wednesday, August 19th, 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Parents will be notified regarding their student’s schedule.
The board heard the first of three readings for updating district policies including Code of Ethics, Conflict of Interest - School Board Members, Criminal or Civil Action Against School District, School Board Member, Employee or Student, and School Board Member Development.
Recognition of District Groups and Supporters included Dollar General for donating several boxes of notebook paper and Town and Country Golf Course for providing snacks in the teachers lounge. Also recognized were the FCCLA National qualifiers: Zoe Nelson, Ruth Ethridge, Emma Nielsen, Vincent Bray, Cullen VanderBeek, Brynlee Farris, Gace Sawadago, and Mara Clarke. Kellen Hollahan was recognized for receiving an Outstanding Leadership Award at the Minnesota State FCCLA Convention. The music department and all participants were recognized for their Solos & Ensembles achievements.
The next regular meeting of the Fulda School Board is scheduled for Monday, May 11, 2026, 6 p.m. at Fulda High School.
