Fulda Family, Career and Community Leaders advisor, Jonathon Curry, has announced that the following two project groups will be presenting their projects at the FCCLA State Leadership Conference in March.
Fulda High School juniors Zoe Nelson, Ruth Ethridge, and Emma Nielsen chose to do their Family, Career and Community Leaders project on safe driving. They met with local law enforcement, and with relatives of those killed in car crashes to better understand their stories and ask them what they want students to know about driving safely. Then they presented their researcn to students about the importance of safe driving and what they can do to be a safe driver.
Junior Jaycee Meier is doing her FCCLA project on human trafficking awareness and prevention. After doing a great deal of research on the impact and challenges of human trafficking, she prepared a report and presentation for her youth group detailing all the dangers and what people could do to help. She is also planning on selling plants this spring to raise money to help stop human trafficking and help victims.
