The Slayton Area Farm & Home Show/Family Fair is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16 in the Murray County Central Gym.
Not only will there be area vendors, but lots of local entertainment that includes dancing, singing and karate demonstrations by local students. The Great Plains ZooMobile will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., sponsored by Maple Path Financial and the Murray County Wheel/Herald.
At 11 a.m., there will be a 15 presentation from MCC Counselor Nikki Cheskie regarding what to look for in a child when it comes to mental health, and 1 p.m. Murray County Deputy Luke Isder and Southwest Crisis Center’s Allen Bakke will give a presentation on how to keep children safe online, whether they are gaming or going on social media. During both presentations, childcare will be available so parents can listen without distraction. Each of the presenters will have more resources available for parent/grandparent follow-up.
The event is free to attend, and the Murray County Pork Producers will have luncheon available for purchase.
