Time to get your artistic flair on! Hiedi Stoel of Elevate Education in Slayton, MN is planning a new event to take place during the fair.
“Celebrate fair week by showing off your creativity in Elevate Education’s first ever COLOR OUR CORNER Community Sidewalk Chalk Contest,” Hiedi said.
The event is FREE and will take place at Elevate Education, 2314 26th St. in Slayton on Friday, August 14th, from 9-11am, with the time broken into the following age groups.
9:00-9:30am Preschool-1st grade, 9:30-10:00am 2nd-5th grades, 10:00-10:30am 6th-12th grades, 10:30-11:00am Family Division.
Judging will take place from 11:00-11:30am with the grand prize of an “Ultimate Sidewalk Chalk and Everything Summer Basket.”
With the theme of “Anything Goes!”, the groups will be judged on: Most Creative, Brightest Colors, Future Artist Award, and Best Family Creation.
Supplies will be provided. Come and join the fun!
