DONATION REQUEST FOR NEW COMPETITION

I am writing on behalf of the Murray County Central School District to ask for a donation to help cover a portion of the cost for our new competition gym floor project. This project will replace the original 66-year-old floor that was installed in 1957. The current floor is no longer able to be sanded down as it is way past its life expectancy of 30-40 years. The new floor will ensure a safer surface for everyone who uses it, including our athletes, students, and community members who will benefit from it for years to come.

With demolition costs, concrete preparation, bleacher moves, the new floor, installation, painting, staining, and other finish work; the total cost of the project exceeds $310,000. We have secured a corporate donor who has given $100,000 and we have $100,000 set aside in the district’s long term facility maintenance for this project. We are looking to raise another $100,000 to help cover the remaining costs.

We are reaching out to alumni, businesses, and friends of Murray County Central Slayton High School to help us support and sponsor this project.

Our donation levels include: Corporate - $100,000, Rudy - $10,000 Rebel - $5.000-$9,999 Purple - $1.000-$-1-.999, Black - $500-$999, Gray - $100-$499 All donors will be recognized with a permanent wall plaque inscribed with names and levels of support.
