Court Queen of Peace met on Aug. 18, 2026 with 20 members present at Gullard Park for the first meeting of the year with potluck supper. Regent Deanna Konkol called the meeting to order with prayer and flag pledge. In the absence of secretary and treasurer Deanna offered a synopsis of the secretary and treasurer’s reports. The collection box was passed for donations to Support Our Seminarians or Support Our Sisters. There were no other committee reports.
The gavel was passed from Deanna to the new Regent Jill McCord. Thanks to Deanna for her years of service to CDA. The court is still in need of a Vice-regent and Financial secretary.
Some of the quilts and pillow cases donated by State director Nancy Bambenek have been distributed to various groups in the area with many left to be donated. Bingo will take place at Westbrook Nursing Home on Aug.21.
The summer/fall workshop will be held in Marshall in September. For CDA Sunday on October 18 it was suggested that cookies, coffee and juice be served and that members take on the liturgical duties. Final plans will be made at the September 22 meeting at Divine Mercy Hall at 5:30.
