Court Queen of Peace met Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022 following Mass and brunch by Marti Engelkes and her committee. Regent Joann Halbur called the meeting to order after prayer and flag pledge. Jeaneen Nelson read the secretary’s report which will be filed. Thank you notes for the Christmas goodies from the Mullers and Lucille Halbur were read. Betty Palmer and Jean Eich were absent due to illness but dues can be paid to Jeaneen Nelson.
Unfinished business included Lenten lunches which will take place March 3, 10, and 17 serving BBQ, pork loin, and turkey sandwiches. Price will be $10 for a full meal and $5 for sandwich only. Amy Kathman confirmed that the Mother’s Day event will be April 30th.
The new business was Meals On Wheels March 7-11. A sign up sheet was passed after which Joyce Risacher will complete the list. A motion was made and passed to purchase Who We Are books to acquaint prospective members about our organization.
Father Thien Nguyen reminded us of the importance of the sacraments which the priests give us and the need for us to pray for more priests.
We will meet for a short meeting March 24 at 9:30.
