Court Queen of Peace met June 25, 2025 at the home of Jeaneen Nelson with 15 members present starting the evening with wine, cheese and crackers.
Regent Konkol called the meeting to order with prayer and the flag pledge. Secretary Pam Marshall read thank you notes from the Eleene Gorman family. Barb Minnehan stated membership is at 65. Jill McCord reported sending a donation to our seminarians.
Rita Morin gave an update on the visit to the Fulda Nursing Home providing lunch and playing Bingo. On July 21 there will be Bingo and lunch at the Tracy Nursing Home and in August at the Westbrook Nursing Home. Volunteers at these events are welcomed. Meals On Wheels will occur the week of June 30 to July 3. Let Deanna know if you can help out, The summer workshop will be held in Adrian on Aug. 21. It is important that officers attend. The American Legion Auxiliary will have a Table Tour, lunch and fashion show on Oct. 11. Replies for table setting a table are needed by Aug. 15. If interested contact Marry Hollis. The membership present, after discussion, voted to eliminate January and February meetings and to meet in June and July. There was discussion about having a hot dish meal on a Sunday during the summer months. No action was taken.
Tentatively our next meeting will be July 29 at End-of-the-Line Park in Currie with a sack lunch.
