Court Queen of Peace met Oct. 26, 2021 at Divine Mercy Hall for a light supper followed by rosary and meeting. Regent Joanne Halbur called the meeting to order, followed by prayer and flag pledge with 15 members present.
Secretary and treasurer’s reports were read. Financial Secretary, Jean Eich, reported Jeanette Schreier as a new member transferring from Court St. Theresa, Currie. Regent Joanne read correspondence from Kennedy Jackels, recipient of the CDA scholarship. Receipts from the Gummi Bear sales, according to Chair Betty Palmer, are incomplete at this time. No other committee chairs were present.
Unfinished business: Regent Joanne thanked those participating in CDA Sunday, Gummi Bear sales, and Confirmation retreat and reception. A motion to accept the budget was made and approved.
New Business: Rita Lear and committee will decorate a Christmas tree at the museum which will be on display after Nov. 20. The date for the next meeting and memorial mass was tabled awaiting a response from Monica Capra’s daughter about her missionary experience in Indiana.
