CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY, NEBRASKA CONFERS DEGREES TO MAY 2024 GRADUATES

On May 4, Concordia University, Nebraska awarded undergraduate and graduate degrees to more than 475 graduates. The class of 2024 was honored during an undergraduate and graduate commencement ceremony.

Lukas Stapek of Fulda, MN, earned a B.A. in History. Deb Burma, recipient of the Distinguished Service Award, presented the commencement address. Burma is a sought-after author and speaker who appears frequently at women’s retreats, conferences and other ministry events. A contracted author for Concordia Publishing House, she has authored Bible study books, Christian living books, retreat kits and devotion books.

Burma reminded graduates to be true to their identity in Christ and true to the person they are becoming, according to His purpose.

“May you be continually encouraged, confident in your identity as a chosen child of God in Christ, the Savior of the world as you interact in a world where many people are searching, quite literally, for meaning and authenticity,” she said. “A watching world wants to know what is real. Live out your witness for Jesus, the One who provides purpose, life and salvation - the One who is the very definition of all that is true.”
