The Chandler American Legon Auxiliary met on April 21, 2026.
The meeting opened with Faye Schuur in the absence of President Patsy Buys.
Chaplain Geri Sankey continued the meeting with prayer.
The Auxiliary then sang the Star-Spangled Banner and recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
The members held a moment of silence in memory of our deceased members and veterans.
The Auxiliary recited the Preamble to the Constitution of the American Legion Auxiliary. The meeting continued with the reading of the minutes. The Treasurer’s report was also read and approved.
The Past Year’s History was read, it had been written by Mavis Kruisselbrink.
It was announced that Doug Ossefoort will be the speaker for the program on Memorial Day.
Poppy Day is being planned. It will possible be held either May 20 or May 21. National Poppy Day is May 22.
The will be a Lone Eagles’ Flight for female Veterans to take pace soon – visiting the memorials in Washington DC.
With no further business, Faye closed the meeting. The Chaplain gave the closing prayer. The Auxiliary then sang America. Faye served the lunch.
