BOYS CELEBRATE WIN IN SEASON’S FIRST BASEBALL GAME

The MCC Boys Baseball team opened their season on Monday afternoon against the Wabasso Rabbits in Slayton. With terrific weather, the two teams were excited to get the season started and the fans were happy to not have to wear their winter coats. The MCC Rebels put together a strong performance on the mound and in the field on their way to their first win of the season.

REBEL GOLFERS PLAY WELL IN FIRST TWO MEETS

March 26 Mountain Lake Dual The Rebels competed in their first meet of the season this past Thursday at Mountain Lake Golf Club, facing off against the RRC Falcons and MLA Wolverines for a varsity triangular. The weather conditions were less than ideal, as golfers faced bitter temperatures and a steady chill while trying to shake off early-season rust.

REBELS HAVE STRONG SHOWINGS AT EARLY TRACK MEETS

March 26 Early Bird Invitational Despite temperatures in the upper thirties, the Rebels were able to host the Early Bird Invitational on Thursday, March 26th. This four-team meet is more of a time trial, as it consists only of individual open events and no relays.

FULDA FCCLA CHAPTER EXCELS AT STATE CONFERENCE

Fulda Family, Career and Community Leaders of America Chapter attended the Minnesota State FCCLA Conference from Friday, March 27 to Sunday, March 29 at the Doubletree South in Bloomington. The students participated in three days of service, leadership training, competition, networking, and fun with about 700 other high school students from across the state.

MCC ELEMENTARY STUDENTS PERFORM WELL AT MATH MASTERS COMPETITION

On Thursday, March 26th, some 5th and 6th graders from Murray County Central went to the Math Masters competition at SMSU. There were over 250 students, forming about 50 teams, from over a dozen schools competing against each other as individuals and teams.

COURT QUEEN OF PEACE #1558

Court Queen of Peace met March 24, 2026 at 5 PM with a light meal with 24 members present. Regent Deanna Konkol called the meeting to order asking for the secretary’s and treasurer’s reports as well as the financial secretary’s report. There are 12 members left to pay dues and 2 resignations leaving 62 members. Jan Bryan gave an update on what the Legislators are doing including information about sports gambling, abortion issues, 2 laws permitting euthanasia, Amy Klobuchar’s voting record in Congress and the Federal tax credit for organizations offering scholarships to students. The State needs to sign on for this by January of 2027. Jill McCord gave an update on the donations that have been sent to the seminarians and the Presentation Sisters in New Ulm. Thank You notes were read from individuals who received Christmas baskets.
