Fulda City Council viewed a draft print of the cost summary, presented by Bollig Engineering, outlining improvements to Fulda City Hall and Fulda Fire Hall, during their Monday meeting.
The summary of expenses proposed the demolition of the existing roofing on the building; demolition of the chimney at the boiler room along with installation of a new water heater and new venting through the building’s sidewall. Also mentioned were costs for exhaust work that includes a detection system, an exhaust fan intake louver, miscellaneous ductwork and controls.
Removal of the three overhead doors and walls under the fire hall entrance canopy were listed on the Cost Summary. Wider, insulated doors would be installed, and minor concrete repair would be done. Other repairs would include trench drain and tuck pointing work. This item was tabled for the time being.
Adopted were two resolutions: 1) Resolution No. 202609 supports request for State Bonding for infrastructure improvements; 2) Resolution No. 2026-08 authorizes the approval of the sale of PID# 25-026-0270 from the City of Fulda to Roger Zins Building Permits were approved for Scott and Kimberly Echternach to enclose their front patio; Gregg Erdmann to construct a small shed; Luis Ruiz Olvera to build a pergola, Kade Anderson for a chicken coop and run; Travis Kramer for a deck, and Carol Fremstad for a fence.
A resignation from firefighter Zach Ramerth was accepted by the council.
