RANDY W. PETERSON

Randy Peterson was born on May 14, 1955, in Tyler, Minnesota to Percy and Luella Kindler Peterson. He grew up in the Russell and Marshall, MN area. He was baptized and confirmed in the Presbyterian Church. Randy graduated from Russell High School in 1973. On June 12, 2003, he and Karen Weinberg were married in Sioux Falls, SD. They made their home in Marshall, MN and in 2004 moved to Iona, MN. Randy worked for Marshall Truss for many years before joining Fullerton Building Systems in Worthington, MN. He retired in 2012. Randy passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023, at the age of 67. Randy enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, camping, helping others with automotive repairs, carpentry and watching the Minnesota Vikings.

MARTY JORGENSEN

Marty John Jorgensen was born on September 23, 1948 at Rochester, Minnesota. He was adopted by John and Lorraine (Yates) Jorgensen on August 10, 1955.

JOHN L. WAGLEY

John Wagley was born on June 26, 1948, in La Crosse, Wisconsin to Robert “Bob” and Patricia “Pat” Onken Wagley. He grew up in Slayton and graduated from Slayton High School in 1966. On April 8, 1967, John enlisted in the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge on August 22, 1972, John went to work for his father, Bob at the Slayton Oil Company doing bulk fuel delivery. On December 31, 1985, he and Marlene Pearson Swan were married at the United Methodist Church in Slayton. Following their marriage, they continued making their home in Slayton. In 1991 John and Marlene served as custodians at the Murray Country Human Services building in Slayton. That same year John started driving bus for Ludolph’s Bus Services. Marlene passed away on July 16, 2013. John retired due to health issues in 2020. In 2022 John moved to Lindenwood Assisted Living in Slayton. Due to failing health John moved to Our House Hospice Home in Slayton on April 6, 2023. He passed away there on May 4, 2023, at the age of 74. He was a member of St. Ann’s Church in Slayton. He served on the Slayton Fire Department, was a member of the Slayton American Legion Post, the Slayton VFW Clown Patrol and belong to many pool leagues, bowling teams, and dart teams. John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, playing cards, bowling, and watching the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Vikings. John will be remembered for the many pranks and jokes that he was responsible for.

LAVON L. PRIEBE

Lavon L Priebe, age 85 of Plymouth, MN. Lavon was born Feb 7, 1938 to Rudolph and Bertha (Wendland) Ehlers and grew up in Balaton, MN. She is survived by husband, David; daughter, Carla Priebe (David Diepholz); son, Curtis Priebe (Kathy); grandchildren, Katarina and Nickolai Diepholz and Alyssa Priebe (Fiancée Sean McCann); many Wendland cousins and extended family. The funeral was held at 11 am on Monday, May 1st at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 5005 Northwest Blvd., Plymouth. Visitation was 1 hour prior to the church service. Interment was 11 am Tuesday at St. Peters Cemetery, Balaton, MN.

MARGARET KELM

A Celebration of Life Service for Margaret Kelm, age 86, of Westbrook, will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 22 nd at the Amo Lutheran Church in rural Storden, with Pastor Harvey Pedersen officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

MERLAINE WORNSON

Merlaine Wornson, 75, of Brainerd, MN passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on April 11, 2023. Merlaine was born to Jake and Enger (Matson) Kruse on August 1, 1947, in Montevideo, MN. After graduating from Seymour high school, Merlaine went on to pursue her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Lamar University in Boumont, TX in 1969. She retired from the USDA Rural Development office in AK in May 2014.

A Celebration of Life Service for Margaret Kelm, age 86, of Westbrook, will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 22 nd at the Amo Lutheran Church in rural Storden, with Pastor Harvey Pedersen officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

PENELOPE “PENNY” A. HALL

Penelope “Penny” A. Hall, age 82, resident of Webster, Wi passed away on March 30, 2023 at home with her children by her side.

Patricia Lynn Brown

Patricia Lynn Brown, 71, of Faribault, formerly of Medford, died Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Faribault Medical Center. She was born May 18, 1951, in Oak Harbor, Washington the daughter of John Sorenson and Gertrude “Trudy” Van Dyke.
