The MCC Rebels were on the road on Tuesday night (September 30) for their only regular game of the week. The Rebels took on the top team in the Red Rock Conference, the Russell Tyler Ruthton Knights.

After losing their first game of the week to the WWG Chargers on Tuesday night (September 25), the MCC Rebels Volleyball team was back in action on the road Thursday at Edgerton Public High School for another Red Rock Conference showdown. The Red Rock had been a wild conference in volleyball this season with two or three teams at the top of the standings, followed by a group of teams that can win or lose night in and night out. Thursday the Rebels would get the win in straight sets.

The MCC Rebel Football team was on the road Friday night (September 26) traveling to Lac Qui Parle Valley High School near Madison to take on the Eagles. The Rebels were looking for their third straight win after starting the season 0-2. The Eagles are a team that have been decimated by injuries this season and were 0-4 on the season. The Rebels were looking to get off to a quick start, build a lead and let their defense lead the way to a win. The Rebels would do exactly that in a game that would not be close.

Our prayers are to be based on God’s Word; not what we think of the situation, or having a ‘I hope this prayer will work attitude’, or, “God, You should answer my prayer this way.”

Murray County Central High School and Murray County Medical Center will host community blood drives on Tuesday, October 7th. Murray County High School will host a blood drive from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Murray County Medical Center will host the blood drive from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with donor registration inside the hospital lobby. Donors can schedule a donations time by logging onto cbblifeblood. org, selecting “Donate Blood” and “Blood Drive Calendar,” then selecting October 7. Donors can also call Community Blood Bank at 605-331-3222. All those who donate blood will receive a $20 Subway gift card as a thank you gift.
