KEN BURNS AMERICAN REVOLUTION DOCUMENTARY TO BE SCREENED AT THE SLAYTON PUBLIC LIBRARY
The Murray County Historical Society is pleased to announce that, in honor of the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution, this summer we are hosting a series of watch parties to view the Ken Burns documentary The American Revolution.
The documentary viewings will be free to the public. The documentary is six episodes long, and will be screened on Thursdays at 6pm at the Slayton Public Library beginning on June 4th. Each episode is approximately 120 minutes long.
June 4: In Order to Be Free (1754–1775) June 11: An Asylum for Mankind (1775–1776) June 11: The Times That Try Men’s Souls (1776–1777) June 18: Conquer by a Drawn Game (1777–1778) July 2: The Soul of All America (1777–1780) July 9: The Most Sacred Thing (1780–Onward)
