By Norma Dittman Monday, December 14, 2026, at 6 p.m. was set by the Fulda School Board as the date for the Truth in Taxation Meeting. The meeting will be held in the high School library.
Approved were several district policies updates. Please see the school’s website for the updates to policy 400, 402, 423, 425, 500, 509, 521, 524, 600, 613, 621, 624, 700, 709, 722, 800, and 806.
A Resolution was adopted that awards the sale of general obligation school building bonds, Series 2026A, in the original aggregate principal amount of $21,285,000; fixing their form and specifications; directing their execution and delivery; and providing for their payment.
One resignation from a Fulda Elementary School paraprofessional was accepted.
A request from elementary principal Brett Perish was approved. The request is for the sale of elementary-specific clothing through a fundraiser at the beginning of the school year.
Approved was a request from the Fulda Theatre Department, and directors Heidi Appel and Matthew Saxman, to hold a fall play production. The play is entitled “The Butler Did It”.
Susan Lee’s Community Education Report included 109 senior aquacise swimmers during July; 110 people at open swim, 19 swimmers taking lessons during July, and private and semi-private lessons given. One private party was held.
The August pool schedule will change due to the start of the sports season.
The Fall Community Education Brochure is in progress.
Athletic Director Greg Erdmann reported that the eligibility meeting was August 10 (same night as school board).
There was discusssion regarding fan boards, stat boards, and video boards, with more research requested by the board.
All sports and activity calendars are posted on the school website.
The August home game with Worthington is moved to Okabena.

First day of elementary classes is September 9th Michael Pagel’s High School Principal and Superintendent Report included a thank you to the summer custodial staff for their hard work in preparing the buldings for the new school year. He also thanked the teachers and staff for their extra work in preparing for the school year in an active construction site.
First day of school at the high school will be September 8th.
Superintendent Pagel issued another mention of the MN Permanent School Fund Proposed Constitutional Amendment that voters will vote on during the general election on November 3rd.
He also gave a building and work update.
District Groups and Supporters that were recognized included the Summer Rec employees Mason Ommen, Albert Vega, and Gavin Bell; the teachers and staff for the elementary PBIS being recognized by the State of Minnesota.
Fulda School Board’s next meeting will be on Tuesday, September 1st, 2026, 6 p.m. in the Fulda High School Library.
