If you are wondering if a puzzle is the right size to fix with a person, start with a mid-sized puzzle. If they get frustrated with it, you know that you should try one with less pieces next. Just remember to avoid frustration, you can always put the puzzle away and let them know that the two of you can try it another time. You can pull out one that has less pieces next time. The person with Dementia will remember the feelings that you gave them, so keep the feelings happy, not sad, not frustrating.
