Alli Getting, Fulda, has joined the teaching staff at Fulda Elementary School for the 20262027 year. She will be teaching 5th and 6th grade English Language Arts.
Getting is a 2014 graduate from Fulda High School. Her college years were spent at Southwest Minnesota State University, Marshall, where she gained both her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, and a Masters of Education in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership.
Getting, and her husband, Nathan, moved to Fulda in 2018. “I had graduated with my undergraduate degree, and we moved home,” Getting stated. “Nathan is a crop farmer and a part-time pre-loader at United Parcel Service.” When asked why she decided to become a teacher, Getting replied, “I have always enjoyed working with kids, so I chose to study education and become a teacher. I love championing students during their journey in education and helping to develop life long learners.”
After gaining her educational degrees, Getting taught for four years (one in Worthington and three in Fulda) before deciding to spend some time at home with her family. “I have now been home for four years with my three kids- Clay (age 6), Drake (age 3.5), and Blair (age 1.5).”
Getting said, “With the beginning of the school year, I am most looking forward to getting to know all of my students and helping to nurture their love of reading!”
She continued, “It is so important for students to have a strong support system to experience educational success. I am excited to build partnerships with my students’ families and to work together to help the students experience a year of great educational growth.”
“I am thankful for this opportunity to serve the students in the Fulda community and to help nurture them in a love of reading,” Getting stated.
