The Slayton Public Library is pleased to host historian and author Janet Timmerman for a special presentation of her latest book, “Halcyon Days: Leisure at Lake Shetek.” The event will take place on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in the Slayton Public Library’s Community Room, located at 2451 Broadway Ave, Slayton, MN.

A victory would mean an automatic spot in the State Amateur Baseball Tournament. A loss meant the season was over. The Windom Pirates proved their #1 seed was legit as they had no trouble with dispersing the Buttermakers.
