Question: My husband and I are wondering if it is true that emergency vehicles can change a light from red to green, if they need to proceed through an intersection. Is this true, or is it just a myth that people now believe to be true? Also, if this is true, how is the light triggered? Is it triggered by the flashing lights of the emergency vehicle or is it triggered through some other method?

FIVE MURRAY COUNTY VETERANS RECENTLY AWARDED QUILTS OF VALOR

On August 4, 2025, US Army Vietnam Veterans, Kenneth “Kenny” Bassett and Dennis “Denny” Johnson, E-5 were each presented with a Quilt of Valor (QOV) following the meeting of the American Legion Post 322 Currie, MN. On August 11th US Army Korean Veteran, Henry “Hinie” Magnus was presented his QOV prior to American Legion Post 318 Fulda, MN. On August 13th US Army Korean Veteran Melvin Johnson was presented his QOV at the Murray County Fairgrounds. On August 14th US Army Korean Veteran V. Mike Kuehl was presented his QOV at Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Fulda. The quilts are given in honor, appreciation and thanks for their service; and to bring comfort, peace and healing to the veteran.

Hats off to the Murray County Fair Board and Superintendents for another fantastic County Fair 2025. The numbers of people there and the vehicles parked on the grounds and within two blocks around the outside showed that there was something for all ages.
