HLO-F COYOTES TRACK TEAM HAS BUSY WEEK OF COMPETITION WITH THREE MEETS

On Monday, April 20, the HLO-F track team competed in a 5-team meet at Pipestone. The boys’ and girls’ teams were competitive that afternoon and had several good results at the end of the 18 event night. The Coyote boys scored 197 points for 1st place. The Coyote girls tallied 129 points for 4th place, just 1.5 points away from 3rd place.

MCC REBELS COMPETE IN WORTHINGTON, PIPESTONE INVITATIONALS

REBEL BOYS WIN WORTHINGTON INVITE A full slate of southwest Minnesota teams gathered Thursday for the Worthington Invite, with athletes from Adrian/ Ellsworth, Canby/Minneota, Hills-Beaver Creek, Fulda/HLO, Jackson County Central, Luverne, Murray County Central, Pipestone Area, Southwest Minnesota Christian, Tracy-Milroy- Balaton, Westbrook-Walnut Grove, Windom Area, and host Worthington competing in a highly competitive meet. The Murray County Central (MCC) Rebels turned in a strong all-around performance, highlighted by multiple topeight finishes, relay success, several personal-best efforts, and the team championship from the MCC boys.

REBEL GIRLS CONTINUE TO STRUGGLE ON SOFTBALL FIELD

April 23 Edgerton/SWC at MCC The MCC Rebel Softball team played a pair of games last week on Thursday and Friday to wrap up a busy week. The Rebels lost to RTR on Tuesday, played Edgerton/SWC on Thursday and then they were on the road on Friday to Ellsworth to take on the Dragons of Adrian Ellsworth.

REBELS GOLFERS BATTLE THE ELEMENTS IN CONFERENCE OPENER

The Rebels competed in their first of four varsity conference meets this past Thursday. The boys traveled to Mountain Lake, while the girls competed in Fulda. Both teams experienced a wide range of weather conditions throughout the day, from sunny skies to thunderstorms. The girls were able to complete their round with minimal disruption, while the boys faced a delay due to lightning.

BOYS BEAT PANTHERS, DRAGONS TO REMAIN UNDEFEATED

April 24 Adrian-Ellsworth at MCC The Murray County Central Baseball team changed up their schedule last week due to weather. The Rebels played Monday against RTR, on Tuesday the Rebels moved up their game with Edgerton/SWC to take advantage of the great weather day.

MURRAY COUNTY 4-H WRAPS UP AFTER SCHOOL ADVENTURE SERIES

As the school year is coming to a close, we wanted to reflect on our time spent with youth who were a part of our After School Adventure Series in the Fulda and MCC Schools! Youth in grades K – 6 in the MCC and Fulda school districts were invited to take part in our monthly Murray County 4-H After School Adventure series! Once a month, our youth development educators, Kim Hause and Kerstin Thoms, organized programming for the youth that enrolled in these sessions. The theme of the sessions completed throughout the year are listed below: October – “Can You Walk the Talk?” November – “Hearty Fall Foods” December – “The Calm Before the Holiday Crazy” January – “Sharing the Best You” February – “The Biggest Heart” March – “Worldly Impacts” April – “Returning the Favor” Each session was designed around the 4-H motto of Head, Heart, Hands and Health.
