MURRAY COUNTY 4-H’ERS EXPERIENCED THE MINNESOTA STATE FAIR

St. Paul, MN (9/13/2021) – Minnesota 4-Hers exhibited thousands of animals, general projects, and public presentations, and participated in dozens of group learning experiences and public performances at the 2021 Minnesota State Fair.

PASTOR RANDY KNUTH TO BE INSTALLED AT FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH IN FULDA

First Presbyterian Church of Fulda, 401 N Lafayette Ave, will host an Installation Service for Pastor Randall Knuth, on Sunday, September 26, at 3:30 p m. This special service of the Presbytery of MN Valleys will solidify the relationship between Fulda Presbyterian and Pastor Randy. Guest Preacher will be Rev. Dr. Dave Ullom of Estherville, Iowa. Pastors and Elders from various churches will be participating as we share hopes for the future.

ST. PATTY’S PARADE ENJOYED IN WOODSTOCK

After being unable to host their annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in March, Staci’s Bar & Grill in Woodstock hosted the “Halfway to St.Patty’s Day Parade” in Woodstock on Saturday, September 11. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful day that featured the parade followed by Mulligan Stew to benefit Pipestone County Hospice, a Tippy Cup Tournament, and a Street Dance featuring Southern Detour.

MCC SCHOOL BOARD HEARS FROM CONCERNED PARENT AND ALSO DISCUSSES SNOW REMOVAL OPTIONS

Murray County Central School Board met on Monday, September 13th. The meeting agenda, as well as, the minutes from the August 9th meeting and the claims for the month were approved. Personnel changes included: Lane changes for Lucas Freeman and Nate Wieneke; Overload time for James Reed, Joanna Vogel and Christina Walker; Long-term sub position for Madeline Vander Wal. They also approved the new hire of 5 paraeducators (Andrea Bertrand, Sarah Gertsema, Courtney Manderscheid, Nancy Moberg and Kathleen Vroman) and 1 custodian (Samual Jackels). Hire of Misse Swanson for c-squad volleyball and resignation of Ann Muecke (food service). They also reviewed and approved the 2021-2022 transportation contracts for transportation to Southwest Minnesota Christian School for 4 families in the district.
