MCC TRACK COMPETE AT PANTHER II INVITE IN TRACY

After traveling east and running against teams from Section 2, the Rebels Track & Field teams headed north to Tracy where they would square off against many teams from the north part of Section 3. Eleven teams participated in the Panther II meet. After eighteen events scored, the Rebel girls would place 3rd, just missing second by one point, while the boys placed ninth.

SLAYTON CITY COUNCIL LOOKS FORWARD TO NEW PROCESSES FOR SUMMER REC PROGRAMS

Among their regular duties, the Slayton City Council members were witness to a special Swearing In Ceremony of Sergeant Jesse Hoffman and Officer Edgar Ibarra on Monday, April 17. Slayton Police Chief Jeremy Steinle facilitated the process and explained why the family and friends of the two men were also present.

By Joanne Bergman The Murray County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. Human Resources Director Ronda Radke was the first person on the agenda. Two seasonal museum assistants, Bryann Bose and Nancy Moberg, will return this year. Seasonal Parks Maintenance Workers, Howard Konkol and Michael Carlson will also be returning. Janette Engels has been hired as the Jail Administrator on a full time basis. Ryan Baker will be assigned the role of Investigator in the Sheriff’s Department. Museum Coordinator Jakob Etrheim has submitted his resignation as of May 26th. The hiring process will begin with current employees eligible to apply for the position at 30hrs per week.
