REBELS TRAVEL TO TRACY FOR INVITATIONAL MEET

In cold wet conditions, the track and field teams traveled to Tracy to partake in the 7-team Panther 1 Invite. Both the boys and girls squads were short participants due to the band and choir solo ensembles, but that didn’t stop them from some great performances.

Brylei Schreier was the 400-meter champion for the second straight meet. She teamed up with Charu Paulzine, Holland Vogel, and Lily Daniels to place second in the 4x800 relay. Vogel took top honors in the 3200 run while Olivia Kathman placed 5th in the 800-meter run.

In the field events, Abby Overman was 4th in the triple jump and Chloe Kremer was 5th in the pole vault. Throwers Callie Platt and Erica Doeden were 5th and 6th in the shot put, and Platt was also 5th in the discus.

The 4x200 team of Overman, Suttyn Schryvers, Reese Gilbertson and Erynn Rohrer placed 5th.

Although the boys did not have any champions on the night, they did have a few runner- up performances. Anikan Larson ran a great straightway, running down three runners in the 200-meter dash. Torin ThunderHawk, participating in his first-ever track meet, jumped 5’6” in the high jump. The 4x100 relay (Caleb Rosenbrook, Carson Englekes, Anikan Larson, and Andrew Holm) and the 4x800 (Beckett Stelter, Henry Carlson, Wesley Hause, and Alex Betz) were the other runner-up finishers.

Caleb Rosenbrook placed 3rd in the pole vault, tying his personal record. Betz placed 4th in the 800 as did Hause in the 1600. The 4x200 team (Rosenbrook, Larson, Luke Iverson, and Holm) and the 4x400 team (Engelkes, Stelter, Holm, and Betz) were also 4th place finishers. Coming in 5th on the night was ThunderHawk in the 400, Carter Knakmuhs in the high jump, and Broox Platt in the shot put and discus.
