KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS FREE THROW CONTEST

All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 are invited to participate in the local level of competition for the 2023 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship. The local competition will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at the Murray County Central High School Competition Gym in Slayton. Registration starts at 12:30. Boys and girls will start shooting at 1:00 p.m. There is no fee to participate.

All girls and 9, 10 and 11 year old boys will use a girl’s basketball. Girls and boys ages 9, 10, and 11 will shoot from 3 feet in front of the free throw line.

The Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship is sponsored annually with winners progressing through local, district, regional and state competition. International champions are announced by the K of C international headquarters based on scores from the statelevel competitions.

All boys and girls 9 to 14 years of age on January 1, 2023 are eligible to participate and will compete in respective age divisions.

All contestants on the local level are recognized for their participation in the event. Participants are required to furnish their age and parental consent on the entry form.
