Four new teachers have joined the staff at Murray County Central schools, and they are eager to meet their students and begin a new school year!

A sincere welcome to our new MCC staff!

Mr. Crosby

Tyson Crosby is a native of Sherburn, MN. After high school he attended Central Lakes College in Brainerd and finished his degree at South Dakota State University, majoring in physical education and health. He has served as a substitute teacher for the past year and a half and is looking forward to now teaching in his own classroom. At MCC, Mr. Crosby will teach health, physical education, first aid, respect and outdoor education to primarily 7th-10th grade students. He is also a junior high football coach and will be an assistant coach for wrestling. "I wrestled, played football and golf in high school and played one year of football in college," said Mr. Crosby. "I am ready to build relationships with students and am looking forward to watching them grow and develop new skills." Mr. Crosby currently lives in Dundee and loves to be outdoors hunting pheasants, ducks, fishing or playing golf.

Ms.Ludolph

Selina Ludolph is the new third grade teacher at West. Selina and her husband Tyler live in Hadley with their 16-month old daughter Sade and are expecting their second child in December. Ms. Ludolph was raised in Golden Valley, MN and is a graduate of Bemidji State University. Her first teaching position was in the Heron Lake-Okabena district, where she thought she would teach just one year. "But I fell in love, married Tyler and stayed at HLO for seven years," she laughed. She has always taught third grade and was anxious to come to MCC schools when a third grade position was available. "I love this grade. Students have a sense of humor and are ready to explore. I believe every child can learn if you show them in different ways. Every student can be successful, and I'll teach them with patience, kindness and we'll have lots of fun." Ms. Ludolph admitted it was hard to leave the HLO district because of the relationships she had built with students and their families, but she is looking forward to building new relationships at MCC. "I'm excited to know the families that will grow up with my own children and to be involved in school sports and activities." Selina enjoys time on the lake with her family, fishing and soaking up the sun and also a little time shopping.
