Ms. Berndt

Brittany Berndt will teach fifth grade at West Elementary. Brittany is the new wife of the school technology director, Andy Berndt. Ms. Berndt grew up in Windom and earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Northwestern in St. Paul. She taught in the Pipestone district for six years before coming to MCC. "In Pipestone I taught mainly sixth grade math and social studies and seventh and eighth grade math," she explained. "But now I'll be teaching reading and I'm really excited! It's good to expand into something new." Ms. Berndt likes to help students appreciate the learning process and is excited to work with fifth graders. "We learn our whole lives so I want to help kids find enjoyment in the process. And I love this age of students! I'm looking forward to sharing my love of reading and exploring great books with them." When Brittany isn't teaching she likes to bake birthday cakes, read historical fiction and spend time with her family.
