The Fulda/Murray County Central Warriors, as they come to the end of their regular season, with their last 6 duals in two triangulars, ended up with 4th place in the section, and a home team advantage to earn their place into the final four against Pipestone, Thursday February 15th. Very exciting to see these Warrior wrestlers continually moving forward making dreams come true.

Last Tuesday, the Warriors travelled to Granite Falls to battle New London Spicer, Quad County, and ACGC, (Atwater, Cosmos, Grove City). New London/Spicer and ACGC proved to be formidable opponents for the Warriors, but a few prevailed nonetheless. Aiden Lorenzen with his 75th win, Quintin Lewis, Carson Klein, and Colby Kesteloot all found victories against New London/ Spicer. With both teams open at 285 the Warriors lost the dual 41-15.

Against ACGC, the Warriors found more in their favor, with a final score of 39-31. With 6 of the points going to ACGC with a forfeit at 215, the Warriors were close, very close. Kaston Clarke scored with a decision. Kaden Landsman, Aiden Lorenzen, Quintin Lewis, and Carson Klein all scored with pins and Colby Kesteloot had a major decision.

Against Quad County, the Warriors really showed off their power on the score board, putting up 60 points against Quad County’s 8. Quad County’s first three weights were open followed by three pins in a row by Kaden Landsmen, Teague Meyer with his 50th win, and Lucas Kuball. Denver Ash scored 6 team points on a forfeit for his 75th win. Noah Mathiowetz followed with a decision, and Quintin Lewis followed Noah with a pin. Jaxon Wendorff took Andy Osori to his back for a quick pin. Luke Iverson and Carson Klein both lost by decision and Colby Kesteloot picked up a decision win for the Warriors.

Thursday night the Warriors picked up the sweep against St. James, Red Rock Central, and St. Clair/Loyola. Red Rock Central was down, as they only wrestled 5 weights as the Warriors picked up 63 points against the Falcons 12 points.

Against St. Clair/Loyola was a little closer with a final score of 42-29. The Warriors commanded with a full roster, as Quintin Lewis picked up the only match with a win, out of the 8 matches St. Clair provided wrestlers for.

Looking forward, the Warriors start section wrestling Thursday the 15th, 7:00 pm at home against the Pipestone Arrows. Then, Saturday in Tracy for the Final four teams. Saturday the 24th the individual sections are held in Pipestone starting at 10 am. GO WARRIORS!!!
