Murray County 4-H will be hosting their first ever Livestock 101 workshop available to all Murray County 4-H families.

The workshop will be at 6 p.m., Friday, April 18 at the Murray County 4-H Building, 3048 Broadway Ave., Slayton, MN. This event will go until about 8 p.m. that night and will be free to Murray County 4-H families who want to attend. This event was created to help new families or current members that are interested in trying a new project area that they haven’t had experience with before and would like to gain a better understanding of what each species entails. The species covered in this workshop are: beef, swine, sheep, goat, horse, rabbit, poultry, llama/ alpaca, and dairy. There will be experienced showmen and mentors at each station willing to answer any questions that you may have along with presenting the basics on their respective species.

If your family is interested in attending, please check out our website to view information and to register for the event! Livestock 101 Workshop | UMN Extension (https://extension.umn. edu/event/livestock-101-workshop
