REBEL GIRLS HAVE TOUGH GAME ON THE ROAD AGAINST WOLVERINES

The MCC Rebel Girls were on the road on Monday night taking on the Wolverines of Mountain Lake Area Comfrey. The Rebels played the Wolverines back in December and came up short losing in Slayton by ten points. The Rebels are back healthy once again but the Rebels played one of if not their worst game of the season Monday night. The Rebels didn’t pass the ball well, they didn’t shoot it well, and they had no chance to win the game.

GOOD NEWS

“Where’s God? Why doesn’t He do something? If He is so great and powerful and in control, then why is the world in such a mess? Why do such bad things happen to good people?” We’ve all heard these questions over the years. The truth is that God has done something about the fallen nature of man and the evil in this ungodly world. God sent His Son Jesus Christ two thousand years ago to die on that cross for us. Because of Jesus, all who surrender to Him can become a new creature, (2 Cor. 5:17). Becoming a true Christian, changes our nature, (2 Pet. 1:3-4). A Christian is far more than simply a ‘reformed’ person who must try harder to be a better person. The problem we face today is not the sin that separates us from God, Jesus dealt with the sin problem and all who come to Christ can be forgiven. We have the very love of God deposited within us and the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, etc. The problem in this sinful world are those who refuse to admit their evil,- and their need for a Savior. They have no fear of God and commit all manner of evil. Christians are to do all we can to bring the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ to these people, in hopes of winning them to Jesus. Imagine how wonderful our communities could be if all its citizens loved God and obeyed His Word; --those who walk the walk and not just talk the talk. Love would prevail rather than all the hate and anger we see today. Will you be a witness for Jesus? God bless.

THEOLOGY IN THE TRENCHES

It’s a Puzzle Smiling, I dove in the direction of my daughter. “Hey, look what they were giving out at church! It’s a piece of a jig-saw puzzle with a little pin attached! You are supposed to give these out and tell others what an important piece of the puzzle they are in life! I got a pile of em! Isn’t this a great idea? Want some?” She, puzzled about this style of connecting, was not impressed.
