As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end and for the Overgaauw twin sisters, Ashley and Amanda, their high school athletics careers did just that at the state track and field meet. Both girls qualified for two individual events, Amanda in the 3200, Ashley in the 800 and both in the 1600. As the weekend concluded, they both would be coming home with two medals and a sense of accomplishment.

EMPLOYEE WELLNESS ENCOURAGED AT FULDA PUBLIC SCHOOL This past fall, Fulda Public School signed up to participate in the Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) worksite wellness collaborative, alongside other school partners. SHIP works with community partners, like Fulda Public School, to create and expand opportunities for all Minnesotans to be more physically active, eat healthier foods, encourage breastfeeding and live free from commercial tobacco, thereby improving lives and decreasing chronic disease in our communities.

The Murray County Central School Board covered a full slate of business during its Monday, June 12 meeting at the MCC School Library. After approving the agenda, minutes and claims, the Business Director Lisa Rademacher shared that the preliminary expense and revenue budget for Fiscal Year 24 was challenging to project since there were so many moving parts.

I am writing on behalf of the Murray County Central School District to ask for a donation to help cover a portion of the cost for our new competition gym floor project. This project will replace the original 66-year-old floor that was installed in 1957.
