SLAYTON, Minn. (1/12/2024) – Are you thinking about how to transfer your farm business or land to the next generation? Is planning for the transition of your farm something that weighs on your mind, and you need help getting started? University of Minnesota Extension is presenting a workshop on farm transition and estate planning on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Slayton, Minnesota at the Pizza Ranch. No matter what stage of the planning process you are in, attending this workshop will help answer your questions and help alleviate the stress and burden that comes with farm transition and estate planning discussions.

There are countless ways the United Way of Southwest Minnesota (UWSWMN) impacts our communities. The program that has made a difference in my family’s life is the Imagination Library program. My two children, Georgia (7) and Boden (4) have been enjoying the program since they were born. St. Cloud State University has announced the names of more than 1,080 students whose academic achievement placed them on the 2023 fall semester dean’s list. To be eligible for the honor, students must have a grade point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Iowa Lakes Community College releases the Fall 2023 Honors Lists recognizing students who achieve the highest academic standards earning inclusion on the President’s List or Dean’s List. Noah Perez, Dean’s List Fulda, MN For the Fall 2023 semester, 141 students earned President’s List, an honor achieved by those who recorded a “straight-A” or 4.0 GPA, and 263 students made the Dean’s List of students who earned a 3.25 GPA or higher for the semester.
