By John Stenen An elderly gentleman was walking down the street with his young grandson when they were approached by a man who was down and out asking for enough money to buy a sandwich and a cup of coffee. Grandpa gave the man a five dollar bill which was greatly appreciated.

Just Thinking About ... Tonight, this is what I’m thinking about.

On February 7, Dr. Tommy Butts, Extension Weed Scientist with the University of Arkansas, and Tom Hoverstad, Researcher at the University of Minnesota Southern Research and Outreach Center in Waseca, joined UMN Extension Educator- Crops Ryan Miller for a discussion on “Making herbicides work better”. Specifically, this session focused on making choices and adjustments to ensure a successful herbicide application.

Murray County Central School Board met on Monday, February 12th. The agenda and the re-organizational and regular meeting minutes were approved. The first item on the agenda was the financials. All financials were reviewed with some clarifications and approved.

The U. S Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued final Emergency Relief Program (ERP) payments totaling approximately $306 million to eligible commodity and specialty crop producers who incurred losses due to natural disasters in 2020 and 2021.
