MCC SPEECH RESULTS

The MCC Speech team competed in the Pipestone Arrow Tournament on Saturday, March 21. The team took 2nd place in Large Group. In Drama, Morgan Heezen placed 3rd. In Extemporaneous Reading, Cassie Scandrett earned a blue ribbon, and Lola Kirchner earned a red ribbon. In Extemporaneous Speaking, Wesley Hause placed 1st and Holland Vogel placed 4th. In Humorous, Walker Biren placed 3rd, Caroline Stoel placed 4th, Logan Stoel placed 6th, and Carter Ray earned a blue ribbon. In Original Oratory, Lila Scandrett placed 2nd. In Prose, Annie Scandrett placed 1st, Lilly Gertsema placed 4th, McKinley Plantz placed 6th, and Brecken Larson earned a red ribbon. In Storytelling, Alexandra Schuur placed 5th.

REBEL BOYS WIN

Murray County Central Boys Basketball Coach, Tim Cariveau, was notified last week that the team had won the Section 3A Academic Championship Award. He received the news via email from Kelly Raymond, Chairman of Team Academic Championships, Minnesota Boys Basketball Coaches Association.
