Ask A Trooper

Question: I have seen numerous times where a bicyclist will not stop at a stop sign, if they are sharing the road with automobiles. I have seen a couple of close incidents where the bicyclist is almost hit as well. Are bicyclists under the same rules if they are sharing the road with automobiles?

THEOLOGY IN THE TRENCHES

My Epitaph—What will it say? It crossed my mind the other day—and I always figure if it crossed my mind, perhaps it has crossed yours, too. What thought veered in my direction and came to my attention? I began wondering what could be written upon my tombstone? What words I the form of an epitaph could speak from the grave that might be an encouragement to those passing by? We’ve all wandered in a cemetery or two and some graves just speak more loudly than others.

GREEN THUMB

By Arnold Krusemark As mentioned last week one of the first things we look for is the appearance of our new gardening catalogues. And then to look through them. Most catalogues include garden vegetables, flowers (including some bushes), and sometimes trees. Then we glance through what’s new. Nearly every year there are a few new varieties of some things. Nearly every year there is at least one new hybrid sweet corn. Might be worth a good try to buy a pack of the latest and maybe some other packs too. We should mention with new varieties of anything the nursery stock may be limited so if you want new things order early when they still have stock. With hybrid sweet corn the newest usually is listed as sweeter and sometimes more resistant to garden problems.

GOOD NEWS

By John Stenen Millions of Americans carry weapons today to help protect them against an element of society that would rob, rape, or murder them without a care in the world. This includes many Christians who carry weapons because bad things do happen to good law abiding people. “So why should Christians need to carry a weapon?” many would ask. David was a great man of God, so why did he carry a sword? Of course to protect himself against his many enemies. In my house I have smoke alarms, carbon dioxide detectors, fire extinguishers; I know first aid and CPR. I hope I never have situations needing them, but if I do, they will save lives. It is never a dumb thing to be prepared in case of an emergency. That brings me to my next point. A tremendous crisis will occur on our planet in the days ahead. Have you kept up on how the globalists, the United Nations and other powerful and wealthy people want to destroy our freedoms and liberties and put us all into a totalitarian One World Government? They have made tremendous progress. They are preparing the way for the Antichrist that the Book of Revelations speaks of. I do believe that he is alive and doing well and waiting in the wings to take his place when Christ comes for His Church. No one knows when Jesus is coming back, but it is true that He is coming. Keep in mind that you and I do not know when physical death may claim us - then what? Are you ready for that day? Will you go to heaven or hell? Christ is knocking at your heart’s door, let Him in today; it will be the best decision you have ever made. God bless.
