By Arnold Krusemark The weather this past week reminds us that we are still in winter. So far we have not had much of what we think of as Winter, but it is not over yet.
Most of us have some good winter stories - whether the biggest snowstorm we endured or whatever. In some cases people came and went through the second floor window (or door). The roof became a kids slide. We got stuck at home for days while we waited for the snowplow. And us kids had snow days with no (or shortened) school days too. And then the school bus got stuck either on the way to school or trying to deliver us kids home. A few schools even had to keep the town kids in school overnight. Or the bus got so far and some farmer had overnight guests (not just school kids).
We shall see what the remainder of winter brings us this year too. I suspect there are many stories which could fill this newspaper full.
If we wish we can try to make some gardening plans too. Even if just looking over the catalogs. Then when warmer weather comes you will be ready to start your outside gardening.
In the meantime, be sure to water and care for your house plants.
Until next week.
