K-Kids is a community service club open to all 5th and 6th grade students at MCC and is sponsored by the Slayton Kiwanis Club. This year we have had 34 students participating.

After a two-week layoff due to weather-related postponements, the Murray County Central boys and girls track and field teams returned to action Tuesday, April 14, at the Windom Invite, competing against Adrian/Ellsworth, Windom Area, Westbrook-Walnut Grove/Red Rock Central, and Mt. Lake Area-Comfrey.

MCC GOLF GIRLS TAKE FIRST, BOYS FINISH RUNNER-UP AGAINST JCC Murray County Central’s golf teams turned in strong performances in a dual meet against Jackson County Central (JCC), highlighted by a first-place finish from the girls team and a competitive showing from the boys. The Rebels battled chilly temperatures once again while playing at Slayton Country Club.

By John Stenen Christians can sometimes get so angry over the least little things. Years ago, I read of a large wealthy Church that had a huge mural painted in their sanctuary. It was a beautiful picture of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. However, the artist drew a bellybutton on Adam and soon the Church was in an uproar. Half of the congregation believed Adam would not have had a bellybutton, and the other half said he would have one. Sad to say, the Church split and never became what it could have been. The enemy of our soul (the devil) loves to get Christians fighting and fussing, and full of anger, hate, bitterness and unforgiveness. Jesus however, told us that the true mark of a Christian is that we love one another as He loves us, (John 13:34-35). In Mark 11:25, Jesus said, “And when you stand praying, forgive if ye have ought against any, that your Father also who is in Heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” When we fail to walk in love - we hinder our walk with God and our prayers are powerless.
