In the Monday, December 8, 2025 issue of the Murray County Wheel Herald was a story entitled “Do You Know This Man? - In search of a name in a sixty year-old photo”.
The photo was taken on November 17, 1965 at the Slayton Service Bus Stop. Included in the photo were seven men from Murray County who were meeting the bus to be transported to Sioux Falls. They had either been drafted or had enlisted. Six of the men included Glen Miller, Leo Voss of Fulda, Rick Freitly, Tom Wisdorf, Larry Dagger, and Leo Voss of Avoca.
Two persons within Murray County have made suggestions as to who the unidentified gentleman is, but those names have proven to not be that man.
