The City of Slayton filed a petition with the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission requesting that the Commission determine the price for the City to purchase the electric utility infrastructure of Xcel Energy within the City. The matter was referred for a contested case hearing before Administrative Law Judge Christa L. Moseng.
Judge Moseng will hold one in-person public hearing and one remote online public hearing so affected customers have an opportunity to comment on the matter. Any Xcel Energy customer or other person may attend either hearing and provide comments. The hearings will begin at their scheduled time and adjourn after everyone present has had an opportunity to comment.
The in-person public hearing will be at 5 p.m. December 10 at MCC. When you enter the hearing, your microphone will be muted. When it is your turn to comment, your name will be called and your line will be unmuted. You will then be able to ask questions or make a comment.

You do not need internet access to call into the hearing; however, you will only be able to hear (not see) the speakers. You will still be able to comment.
