It was a beautiful day for MCC’s varsity and junior varsity to face off in a duel against HLOF/WWG on Friday. The Rebels had another beautiful day to play golf in March before the incoming snowy weather. Despite some windy conditions, everyone enjoyed the warm 70 degree weather.
MCC’s girls team played well, and felt relaxed against an incomplete Coyote team. Ava Johnson and Rachael Huso both carded at 42 on the round, and tied for individual medalist honors. Huso stated it was fun playing with her friends, and it felt more like practice than a meet. Natalie Einck followed right after in 3rd place. The Rebels score was rounded out by a 58 from both Lizzie Daniels and Theran Mannon.
MCC’s boys came out on top against HLOF/WWG. Lucas Kuball and Kaden Landsman tied again, earning top individualist honors with a 46. Rounding out the Rebels team score was Drew Wajer and Jett Veldhuisen.
The Rebels will have a long break prior to their next match. The girls will travel to Worthington for an 18-hole invitational this Friday. However, boys will be off until the 8th when MCC travels to Pipestone.
