As a thirty year cancer survivor, I would like to thank and congratulate the devoted and hardworking members of the Relay for Life for putting on another outstanding Celebration of Life fundraiser. There is a tremendous amount of work that goes into planning and making it happen, and those involved are to be commended for their dedication to the cause. THANK YOU.
A Note of Caution to vehicle drivers and electric scooter riders.
As I was backing out of my driveway, I stopped and looked both ways for oncoming traffic. I didn’t see any cars or pickups, so I slowly started to back up again until the alarm in my car warned me that there was something behind me. I slammed on my brakes and saw two electric scooters behind my car. They just kept on going, but I sat and thanked God that my car warned me so I didn’t run into them.
The scooters go so fast that the person riding one has to anticipate drivers who didn’t see them coming.
