LETTER TO THE EDITOR

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Dear Editor, I am once again writing to compel the County Commissioners to put Wonder World on their agenda, and to allow the money they once pledged, to be pledged again to Wonder World, so they can get started on the construction of a safe building that is close to the swimming pool, the elementary school, the park. It is the ONLY location that makes the MOST sense for the Kids!

Additionally, if the County does not allow this money to be given for the benefit of Wonder World, our life in the County and the City of Slayton will change. Many of the area businesses are concerned about what happens if Wonder World goes away? What happens to the kids, the parents of the kids? Will businesses be able to hire parents with kids that need daycare? And where will they go? There are only a few in home daycare places in the area and would they be able to take in 50-65 kids!!!???

I cannot imagine why, when our tax dollars are sitting there, why the Commissioners are refusing to help out the County and the City? Please, contact the Commissioners and ask them to please put Wonder World on their agenda, and release the money to the EDA, so it can be passed on to Wonder World, so they can get started on building a new facility! It’s imperative for our County and our Community!

Respectively, A Concerned Citizen Judy LaBoda
