To Hospice

To Hospice & Our House of Murray County and the Murray County Medical Center And Friends and Acquaintances of Gaylen W.Jensen Thank you for the excellent care of our dad, Gaylen W. Jensen. You had your hands full with him and his stubborn nature. We always had lots of questions and worries and his constantly wanting to escape to his beloved farmhouse was always a concern for every single one of us. You were always so patient and spent so much time sitting by his side and calming him down to make his days less worrisome and more comfortable. Even though he was “never hungry,” he usually finished every bite of the good food served.

To his friends and acquaintances in Slayton and surrounding communities, thank you for all of your calls, cards, visits, support, and outreaching during dad’s health decline in the past few months. He was very proud to live in Slayton and would’ve been thrilled by the number of people who honored him at his visitation and funeral. He was a very proud and humble man and lived a long and healthy life. Until his last week, he would get into his golf cart or UTV, spin around town, and eat at his beloved bakery. On the last day of his life, the pastor asked him if he had any regrets, and he said that he had none. “His spirit is now free . . . .”

Sincerely, The Gaylen Jensen family
