By Arnold Krusemark When you readers get this week’s paper Thanksgiving Day will be over. As we said in last week’s column the day may be done but the events continue.
We add some events not mentioned last week. For some restaurants if they have left overs to there might be post-Thanksgiving specials for another day or two Back home the pre-winter work needs completing. In our case this is the time for the annual furnace checkout including a new air filter. The idea is to have everything done in time for the next holiday - Christmas. One thing that requires much thought we have found is what Christmas gifts we will be giving.
And then there’s Christmas cards too. Some years we created a Christmas letter which went into many cards. Then we added a personal note or two sometimes. So far the weather has been ok. Just so we don’t start winter with a big snowstorm or two which has been a time or two in the past. This will keep you busy into the new year. Don’t forget your house plants too. Until next week.
