By Arnold Krusemark Its time to get started on year 2025 gardens. Our Uncle Nor used 2” deep cake pans to start his gardening. If you need potting trays, along with potting soil, are available locally. And along with seed packages for 10c each pkt. Stock up on what you need for common items, then check the catalogs for the latest varieties. You should make an order or two there too, to get some new varieties and restock the better varieties you want to plant.
As for the starter gardens, its ok to put them in the window sill. They will need good care and frequent watering. Then when when the plants start growing, thin them out a little. And finally transplant to a regular garden when it gets warm enough outside. Be sure to plant a few radishes. Then you will have fresh vegetables (radishes) to grace your table by the end of February. This will keep you started and going for the time being. Be sure to water your house plants.
