By John Stenen When I was in Bible School in 1980, Cheryl Pruitt, (Miss America 1979) came to our school to give her testimony. When she was eleven years old she was in a horrific car accident. Her left leg was crushed and was nearly amputated. The accident caused her left leg to be two inches shorter and had terrible scars. When she was a little girl, her milk man always said to her, “You will be Miss America one day.” She grew up loving the Lord Jesus Christ and believed He would one day heal her. An evangelist was coming to her city and people were often healed in his meetings. Cheryl told everyone at school, including her family, “When he lays hands on me, God is going to heal my leg.” She had a child-like faith and it happened just as she told everyone. What a miracle! Jesus says to you and I, “ If thou canst believe, all things are possible to them that believe.” God bless.
