By John Stenen A Mother was having a serious conversation with her young son stressing the importance of being a Christian and serving the Lord. “But mom, my friends will all tease me and laugh at me; and they will do it in front of the whole class.” “They may laugh you all the way into hell,” said his mother,”but remember this, they can never laugh you out of hell.”
Do you remember the Scriptures that spoke of all the people who were invited to the wedding feast and one after another they made excuse after excuse as to why they could not attend. How sad it is that so many in our nation today have a very serious problem when it comes to God. That problem is spelled out in Romans 3:18 where it says, “There is no fear of God in their eyes.” Children are not the only ones that have to deal with peer pressure concerning Christianity, adults are often embarrassed and or humiliated by their peers and cease to follow Christ.
Where do you think all that persecution comes from? Satan works overtime to do his best to keep us from loving and serving the Lord. When the day comes and we all will give account to God of our lives, He will not be interested in how much money you made, and all the nice things you did in life, He is going to want to know one primary thing; “What did you do with My Son, the Lord Jesus Christ? Did you receive Him and faithfully serve Him and tell others of Him?”
