The Edgerton businesses are planning a Holiday Open House for November 4-9. As part of that event, they are hosting a “Card Craze” shopping event.
Each business who participates - there are 18 signed up - will have a deck of cards at their store with their business name on the back of the cards. When a customer comes in and spends any dollar amount, they get one card from the deck. Customers need to collect at least five cards, each from a different business. At the end of the week, the customer with the best hand wins.
Turn in your winning hand at Merch and Co. before noon on Saturday, November 9. Each of the participating businesses have donated a $50 gift certificate to the “pot.”
What is a winning hand? You are going to be looking for a Royal Flush or a Straight Flush - five consecutive cards of one suite. Four of a Kind: four cards with the same value. A Full House: Three of a kind and two of another kind. Or a flush: five cards of the same suite, but not in consecutive order.
You can look online to find other “lesser” hands that could win if no one brings in any of the top hands described above.
The customer with the best hand will receive $500 in business gift certificates. The second place hand will get $200 in gift certificates, and the third place hand will receive $150 in gift certificates.
Your winning hand must be turned in, in person, at Merch and Co. on Saturday, November 9, before noon.
